Scheherezade lay on her stomach, her head on her arms in the bath. In one hand she held a small book, she had just started reading it. She had finished the other books she had gotten from the bookstore alread. She heard a noise behind her. Saidi had come in.
"I want you to finish th story, Scheherezade." he said without delay. He took of his robe, but remained in a towel, and sank into the water across from her.
"All right," she said, closing the book and turning to him. "Aladdin and Zobeide were returning home from their victory, when a little shepherd boy walked past. He was carrying a flute, and he wore a very puzzled expression. When they asked what was wrong, the boy said he had found the flute and was taking it to his mother. This didn't seem odd to them and hey returned home. The boy meanwhile, began to play the flute as he walked, and-"
"This is a different story!" Saidi yelled. "I don't want another story!"
"Well, I thought you would want to hear this story because, the flute was made to do anything the player desired. Granted, there was always a drawback..." and by then, her magic had wrapped around Saidi and he was hooked.
....
"And when the boy stopped playing, he saw something very strange..." she said as the sun was rising.
"What, what did he see? Finish the story!" Saidi said.
"Tomorrow night perhaps." she said, getting up off the bed, they had left the bath four hours ago. Saidi huffed and left, she had made it clear she would not tell stories in the day. But now she was out of books...
